FGD Slurry Pumps

fgd.jpg
GIW offers a complete range of heavy-duty slurry pumps for FGD system scrubbers. Rugged GIW slurry pumps provide high sustainable hydraulic efficiency, and long wear life at the lowest total cost of ownership. Low noise and minimum vibration are other benefits.

FGD Pump Description
Metal and elastomer-lined slurry pumps with impellers available in a variety of corrosion- and abrasion-resistant alloys. Efficiencies approaching 90% at BEP.

Applications
Absorber recirculation and ancillary process pumps.

Range
  •   Discharge diameters: 1 1/2 - 44 in. / 38 - 1.118 mm
  •   Flows: 100 - 100,000 gpm / 23 - 22.700 m3/h
  •   Up to 12,000 HP

Construction
FGD hard metal slurry pumps have a single-wall shell design. The impeller was developed for high efficiency and the suction side liner is equipped with integrated mounting plates. Elastomer-lined FGD slurry pumps are radially split with ductile iron casings and replaceable elastomer liners.
